Tax File Number Alert

Don't pay more tax than you need to.

Recent changes to super legislation mean that from 1 July 2007, if you hold a super policy or an insurance policy structured through a TOWER super fund and TOWER does not hold your Tax File Number (TFN), you:

• could pay too much tax ie up to 46.5% on employer (pre-tax) contributions
• will not be able to make personal (after-tax) contributions
• will not be able to make spouse contributions
• may miss out on the Government Co-contribution payment if you are eligible
• could lose your insurance cover as contributions may not be enough to cover premium amounts due to the extra tax applied or if personal contributions are used to fund insurance premiums (for insurance through a superannuation fund).

These outcomes could significantly reduce your retirement savings or cause yor insurance cover to lapse.

How to supply us with your TFN

Simply download a TFN form here, complete it (ensuring you quote your member or policy number) and:

• email it or fax it to the relevant address as detailed below or
• phone us on the relevant number below
